Science and Math at COM

1

This is the place to find information about the courses taught in the Science and Mathematics Department at College of the Mainland. Quality instruction and small class size allow for greater interaction with our instructors. We offer the required courses for careers in the natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, the environmental sciences, the health sciences, the petrochemical industry, and many other career choices. We also offer courses for students majoring in other disciplines, allowing them to complete the science and math requirements for their undergraduate education.

Each semester we have numerous offerings in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics. All of our courses are academic credit courses. Most are designed as transfer courses to four-year institutions, but some are designed to support many of the college's career programs. To help assure quality education, the great majority of our courses are taught by our full-time faculty. Students always have the same instructor and classmates in the lecture and laboratory components of our courses.

You can get more specific information about our courses and our faculty by selecting one of the program tabs at the top of this page.
